Dry skin does not produce enough lipids and its natural moisturising factor is lower than normal skin. Its barrier function is weaker or even non-existent in some areas of the body. Dry skin is more likely to occur when the skin is particularly stressed by external factors.
What you see: skin appears less shiny, with a 'crocodile skin-like' appearance in certain areas
What you feel: a rough and flaky skin texture
What baby feels: permanent or seasonal feelings of skin discomfort (e.g. tingling, tightness)
