Very sensitive skin affects 1 in 3 children¹
Your baby's skin is different from an adults. The skin of a baby is particularly fragile from birth to around two years old. This underdeveloped skin barrier does not fully protect against external factors such a sun, wind and heat, as the skin is not yet capable of maintaining good level of hydration, essential to the proper functioning of skin cells.
In addition, some babies have particularly sensitive skin that easily reddens against daily stress factors such as wind, cold, water and chafing. They are often subject to sensations of tingling and tightness. These are the distinctive signs of very sensitive skin.
Your child’s very sensitive skin needs to be moisturised and protected daily, while also being soothed immediately.
Moisturising your child from birth onwards with specially formulated skin care products will provide protection and comfort to their skin. Sharing a daily moment of tenderness, care and sensorial awakening with your baby is essential to their well-being and development.
